Arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome. Great room, cleanliness, value for money. Would highly recommend for this price point. Nice local pubs are the Plough.

Didnt stay But had probably the worst meal of my life in the restaurant. Owners have no control or management of their staff. Staff have attitude and really dont want to be there. What is the point of this place.

I only called for lunch but was most impressed. Lovely,unspoilt, ancient hostelry in great location. Brilliant service and excellent light meal menu. My wife and I will be booking a stay in the near future

Besides an extremely disapointing breakfast (nothing was fresh, very expensive considering the very little quantity, not tasty compared to the dinner), the hotel is very cozy and the diner was excellent. The staff is very nice, but it would have been far more agreeable to have a dedicated space for the hotel clients in the groundfloor area… (couches, sofa…) otherwise you cannot enjoy some good time next to the chimney if you don’t book a diner table… therefore you stay in the room. To summarize, don’t take the breakfast, enjoy the restaurant and call it a day!

Decent food here. We got there an were greeted well. Took a while for us to get our food but it was a Sunday night so understandable. Food was great, water wasn’t bad and deserts looked awesome. I’d come back again for their bigger menu.

A very atmospheric place to stay, food is excellant, especially the guinie fowl! Service is good, very olde worlde feel and comfortable. Fairford is a lovely village, lots of history, myst visit the church. Nice couple of cafes' and trinket shops, goid river walks to.

Lovely lunch at The Bull Hotel after a walk in Coln St Aldwyns. The steak and mushroom pie was excellent. Good balance of pastry crust and contents. Followed it with a Flat White which was a great example of how to prepare one correctly. We shall return.

What a place! Have never been to Fairford before, but we wanted somewhere in a nice location, with good food, and good walks and we were not disappointed at all! When we arrived, the building is simply beautiful. Parked right outside and wandered in to check in where we were greeted by an incredibly charming Welshman by the name of Luke who was just the right amount of familiar humour, respect and attentiveness. In fact, all of the waiting staff were polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for us but we actually spent quite a bit of time talking to Luke over our obsession with music and the fact he's originally from somewhere local to us! We stayed in a junior suite (room 12) which was really charming. Tastefully decorated, huge super king bed which was incredibly comfy and a lovely bathroom with separate bath and shower, all in the same tasteful yet modern decor and quirky ambience. We ate at the hotel the first evening and the food was divine. I had the trout pate followed by Guinea fowl and it was just excellent. Not a single complaint, succulent, well seasoned fowl atop a beautiful creamy mash with vegetables - I could have eaten it twice over! The breakfast too was delicious, with a really great choice of hot food alongside the usual buffet style continental and cereals. The hot breakfast is made to order and you choose what to have the night before, but this is fine and it was very good quality on both days having both the full English and the avocados on sour dough the second day. We wouldn't hesitate to return and I would imagine will become regulars of the Bull for some time to come. Thank you for making our stay such a joy!

Stopped for a drink on a very flooded walk of the river. We all agreed to go back next Spring. 3B recommended. The food smelt great.

Just stumbled across this lovely place on a trip through Fairford so we had to stop and check it out. Lovely interior, homely feel, multiple rooms and levels. Had a roast pork dinner in a sandwich which was utterly delicious! Lovely, polite welcome from really helpful staff. Will be definitely coming back!

I recently stayed at The Bull Hotel for 3 nights with my wife, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We had both breakfast and dinner during our stay, and the food was consistently excellent. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space to relax. The hotel is located in a beautiful part of the country, and the charming, cosy venue full of character added to the overall experience. It was also great value for money, and we would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a picturesque setting.

Went to The Bull for dinner with my partner. Very good portions and quality of the food! The amazing service was the cherry on top! Really enjoyed dining there and would go a second time!! Shout out to the staff! :))

Stayed @ the Bull hotel recently was a lovely stay, great food, friendly staff rooms were very clean & comfy beds situated in the centre of Fairford breakfast was great & nice coffee definitely stay again

Room 9 - is a ground level room with its windows at the back entrance-way which means no privacy unless you close the shutters which then blocked the natural daylight. Toilet window was left open on arrival, this window is level with the hotels bins storage area with the bins directly underneath and beside the window, I closed immediately for risk of smell, flies or rodents, although none noted, it was just very off putting having bins at window level. I am 6ft 2 and kept hitting my head on a heavy wooden chandelier at the bottom of the bed as it was en route to the toilet, unless you jumped/rolled over the bed. The kettle cord is very short which meant placement of the kettle was on the very small bedside table, I would prefer a more secure location. Bedroom decor was more shabby than chic I felt. That said the room was clean and fresh smelling so not a hygiene issue, just my taste in decor. Food was really good but more pricey ie £30 for an 8oz sirloin and menu fairly limited if you stayed a week. There is a Vegan option if required. Bar is nice to sit in. Staff were young but all very nice, friendly and helpful. I would stay again if welcome :-) but not in room 9 for the reasons stated in my negatives.

Awful. Avoid room 9 at all costs. Looking out onto a rear car park and bin store - the room should not be available for staying at the Bull Hotel. 06:00AM-06:30AM on Monday morning the bins were being emptied and wheeled to the disposal lorry. Bright PIR lights activated by movement. Windows could not be opened, well because they couldn’t, due to inoperable sash cords (had to prop open with a log I found in the car park otherwise would have overheated) but also the noise and smell from the bins!! Stains on the chair too. Really terrible stay. The room is not fit for habitation.
